A session photographing a variety of themed models in an underground victorian reservoir!

About this event

Come with us as we return to Papplewick Pumping Station to their underground brick reservoir!  The reservoir (which has now dried up) is a vast underground space full of old brickwork arches and pillars and with the use of our own lighting and smoke machines this is a fantastic and unique location to do atmospheric photography! So join us for a day of variety with a host of themed models that will include eye catching characters from history & beyond! The reservoir is very spacious so we will have the different models positioned in different locations around the site, each with different lighting so that there will be a unique scene around every corner! We will be providing smoke from our smoke machines to create atmosphere and a wide variety of lighting set ups. This promises to be an event not to miss in a unique location and spaces are limited so we advise booking soon to avoid disappointment! 

Please wear sturdy shoes and a warm jumper or coat as it stays at about 11 degrees underground, the ground can also be a bit dirty in places so we recommend bringing a bag or mat to rest your camera bag on. There are about 15 steep steps leading down into the reservoir with a handrail. 

This session is open to 20 photographers only with a huge space everyone will be very spread out.

We will have 2 sessions running, one from 10:00-13:00 and one from 14:00-17:00

We also have running simultaneously a model portrait day in the Victorian Pump house so you could book one session in the pump house then another session in the reservoir for a day of variety or you can book both sessions in the reservoir. As this is a low light shoot some previous low light photography experience would be benificial and we advise being able to use your camera on manual model to get the most out of this shoot.
