About this event
Set in 22 acres of beautiful woodland and open fields, Andover’s Hawk Conservancy has over 150 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in spectacular daily flying demonstrations, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects.
Our day will centre around the British Birds at the Conservancy and will include flying demonstrations, close up opportunities and falconry. We will have our own dedicated falconers on hand to engage and explain each bird to us and indeed put the birds through their paces on our behalf. During this time of year we can get some lovely autumn colours on the trees, especially in the owl flying woodland area.
This event is limited to 20 photographers to ensure plenty of space.
An average day will see you take around 1000 plus images!
Photography can be very rewarding and difficult all at the same time and this will really push the boundries of both of those statements, giving you the opportunity to capture wonderful images of the birds in a natural setting.
Price includes a buffet lunch and unlimited tea and coffees.
This site has good disabled access for wheelchairs and mobility scooters
