About this event

Join us for a guided trip to Lower Moor Farm nature reserve with a professional wildlife photographer to offer training, tips and advice to achieve stunning photographs from this Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Professional photography trainer Clive Greenland will be leading this day, and will be teaching you the best settings and techniques to achieve sharp and stunning images! All the images above were taken by Clive at Lower Moor Farm.

This day promises to offer the perfect combination of training combined with field experience to boost your confidence and skills! Are you struggling to get your images sharp or well composed? We aim to give you the technique and skills that you need to make the most out of your camera when capturing macro wildlife. Clive will provide the best settings to capture dragonflies, damselflies and a range of insects. The nature reserve has a lot more to offer including wild birds such as cormorants and great crested grebe, to name a few. Macro photography is a very rewarding subject and this day will give you the tools you need to capture stunningly sharp and eye catching macro images.

Lower Moor Farm complex stretches to 126.18 hectares with all the surrounding meadows fields. The reserve is an assortment of lakes, brooks, ponds and wetland scrapes connected together by boardwalks, with ancient hedges and woodland. Mallard Lake is a Site of Special Scientific Interest with its distinctive aquatic plants.

This unique event is limited to just 12 places with good facilities on site and level access to the nature reserve. The dragonfly café is located on site overlooking a lake on the nature reserve and there is a free on site car park.

Start time 10:30, finish time 16:30, we will break around 13:00 for lunch.

This event has limited spaces and we expect tickets to sell fast for this unique experience so urge early booking to avoid disappointment!
